Take a Tour of Freeland
What began just over a century ago as a small campsite by some adventurous but tired tourists from a distant place known as Stickworld, is now a thriving metropolis with just over half a million residents. The Greater Freeland Area has a diverse population and as such has a wide range of neighborhoods in which to live and work. From the working class streets of Macadam to the upscale avenues of Sawmill Park, Freeland is truly a cultural and economic melting pot... (more)
The Freeland Collaborative
Freeland was formed in 2000 by a group of veteran SimCity Designers who were looking to build a home away from the official Maxis site to offer their custom works in an environment that mirrored the spirit of the game itself. Although the site has grown and changed tremendously over the years, the underlying concept remains the same - Freeland is a collaboration of independent artists and designers who share a similar philosophy about how to work together. We have no staff. We have no moderators or explicit heirarchy of any kind. We have very few rules and regulations as well. We do have respect and admiration for each other and our visitors though. We also have endless imagination and a ton of projects under our collective belts. But mostly we have fun. So whether it's working on one of our infamous collaborations or just chatting it up in Murphy's Pub, we like to keep things in perspective: We take great pride in what we make, but SimCity is just a game and in the end we are just fans trying to enjoy it a little more with our friends and visitors. And enjoy it we do. We hope you do too. Welcome to Freeland.

Fourland
Although known for being an SC3 Site, many people in Freeland also designed buildings and props for SimCity 4 and exhibited them in the studio at The Freeland Forum. You can also find SC4 BAT items and tutorials at Couchpotato's
Freeland Site.
City Limits Exhibit
Do you remember when the front page of Freeland for many months was just a picture linking you to the real index page? Or how about the "Freestyle" period when the page changed every 4th day and looked very little like a SimCity site?

Threeland
After collecting
piles of buildings
from SimCity 3000
Bappers for over four
years, it was time to create a city to show off that work. Threeland is not only that showcase, but also a dedication to all the creative SC3 Designers who made their mark in SimCity history. Visit Threeland
Freeland PA
We visited Freeland Pennsylvania to see if there were any similarities between our two
cities. We didn't find
any giant pixelated
rabbits, but we did
see a few interesting
things. Take theTour!
